hey everyone since i finally got a job(im 14) I am planning a 29 gallon tank, with just clams nothing else, along with my 129 seahorse tanks, by the way one of my male barbouris are pregnant:) anyway here is the lighting deal as follows:24 inch reflector ballast 250 watt aro electronic ballast 250 watt 20,000 k xm bulb ( if i need a different bulb let me know) and a 3 inch fan. Does this sound good? Thanks !!

That should be fine. Some people don't like the 20k 250watt saying it's not bright enough, everyone seems to love the 20k 400watt though.

You may want to go to a 10K bulb. I'm actually using a 6,500k right now (for rapid coral growth at the expense of apperance) and my many clams are growing very fast. Either way you should be fine. Start w/ an aquacultured clam - marinedepot.com has squmasas for like $25, keep your ca+ up and these guys are bullet proof. Also, get atleast a 3" clam for your first one as they have higher survival rates in general.

Congrats on the pregnant barb, my kudas used to mate alot, now I think they are getting old and losing their sex drive :(
