just wanted to let everyone know stacy and i found out we are going to be adding a little one to our family. she found out she was pregnant last monday and we will be going to the doc on 5/30 to she how everything is going and hopefully get a due date. i figure everyone else in the club has had 1 are 2 lately and it was my turn. needless to say i may not be getting much for the tank anytime soon but i will soon have something a lot more enjoyable

Like someone once said "Your wallet will never be the same". Although I think they were talking about reef tanks, but the same applies here. All jokes aside, that is great news Chad. Tell Stacey we said Congratulations!!!!

Congrats! Your gonna love it. There must be something in the water lately, I know three people who are pregnant.
 
won't know until next week but the computer says between 12/28 and 1/14. hopefully this year so i can claim the kid on taxes.
 
That's cool Chad! We found out a couple weeks ago that Amy is pregnant. The doctor set her due date as Dec.13. I told her parents that I planned it that way. This way, I can get the kid's birthday, her birthday, Christmas and our anniversary all rolled into one party.:lol:
 
No time to waste man. Actually, Amy wanted kids now. So we decided to start trying. She was worried that it would take a long time to get pregnant since we were trying. But her family's super fertility gene kicked in. I knew she was pregnant when she called me at work telling me she was craving doughnuts. Since I've known her, she's never eaten a doughnut and always gives me hell for eating a honeybun at work.

Now she suddenly can't eat anything we normally buy for dinner. I swear everynight, she calls me with a new craving. Of course, its for something we don't have at home. So I have to stop at the grocery store.
 
great news tom congrates to you and amy. looks like will have to new members to the fish world. are you still working fo ge. looks like i may not be for much longer with the sell of appliances. i was going to try to move with in the company but i can not apply for a job with in ge for 3 year now that they are selling. oh well hope the new company has as good if not better pay and benefits.
 
Wow, I didn't think about that Chad. I am sure you were happy to hear that along with news of pregnancy.
 
yes it was the very same day. and both will happen the first of the year. a new baby on the way and i may not have a job. im sure ill have a job for a while, and hopefully they will keep factory service but there are no promises
 
Yeah I'm still with GE. The appliances sale was kinda surprising to me. I thought we'd look to get rid of the financials division first. Were taking a beating there. The medical side is taking a beating from OEC. We bought OEC for there C-Arm techonology. Right after we bought them, FDA shut down the manufacturing end because of quality control issues. Then the FDA finally allowed them to restart manufacturing, but wouldn't let us ship anything because of other issues. I think someone royally ****ed off an FDA inspector. But we lost tons of money because we couldn't fill orders. This FDA crackdown has been rolling down the line of medical equipment. One company after another is getting hit. Our stocks went from $41+ a few weeks ago to $30 Friday. I think it was @$27 when I started in Nov. 1999. Still can't beat the benefits though. That's been the main thing keeping me with GE. I hope whoever buys the appliance division will offer benefits at least close to what GE offers.

As far as adding new members to the fish world, I'm getting Amy into it a little. She picked out my Sebae Anemone and the two clownfish in the tank. I catch her standing in front of the tank sometimes trying to figure out what's a coral and what's just a piece of rock. Bad thing is it makes it harder for me to sneak anything new into the tank. Funny how everything in the tank has either been there "for a couple weeks" or it "was on-sale for $19.99". A couple trips to the LFS and she's getting wise to that though. Time to come up with new lines.
