good or bad shrimp

I saw this shrimp for the first time today. It is basically all clear and about 3/4" long. I had a terrible time getting a picture of him because he was floating with the currents so the pictures aren't the greatest. I'm posting two pictures. The first one he looks white only because of the light reflecting off of him but at least it shows his body shape. Anyone know what kind of shrimp this is and whether it is bad or good?

Peterson shrimp...you are lucky!
Richard TBS

Richard,

I did a Google on Peterson shrimp but really couldn't find much information.

Are these shrimp rare - that's why we're lucky or that they are "good" shrimp?

If good, what should we be feeding this new member to our tank.

A good many of the things that we have found in our rock that aren't reef safe are now in our sump. This includes our octopus, gorilla crabs and any unidentified crabs. If this isn't a reef safe shrimp should it also join this group?
