good or bad?

So these thing have popped up the last week or two. I personally have never seen anything like it. They are growing on the powerhead and on the rocks. If you know what they are, should I manually remove it, leave it, or get something that eats it.

No feathers come out of the end. But if it is tube worms can my tank get infested with them and is their any thing that eats them?

Have you ever seen anything come out of them? It looks like you may have some sponges there along with what might be a Spionid worm or something similar..

Nothing has come out and nothing has color or is as big as the picture. All of the things are identical and translucent.

It is soft and doesn't close or retrack to the touch.

Not a vermentid snail then. Good news there. Those things are a pita.

Hard to tell from the fuzzy picture, but sponge would be my guess.
