Good Pic of my clown and bta

Here's probably the best shot I have gotten of my clown and my bta. The bta came as a hitchhiker on a piece of liverock that I got a month or so ago. The clown I have had for over a year. Recently the clown has left my brain coral and said hello to the anemone.

let me know what you think of my beauties.

very nice i wish i could get mine to host maybe i should get them an anemone i have frogspawn and a toadstool and xenia oh well nice looking fish i have two bab tru percs i think the adults are better

dc,
thank you.

bwest,
it took my clown a month or so to adapt to this anemone. i did have a sebae anemone for a few months before it got sucked into a powerhead and the clown never took to it. (I know use threading plastic from walmart over the powerhead grates).

GSMguy,
thank you. I think it helped in this case that the anemone moved right above where the brain coral is, so the clown felt comfortable moving from host to host until it settled on the anemone as its preference.

Ok great, I have a BTA and just added a false perc 3 days ago. Currently the clown is showing no interest for it, but hopefully down the road he will. It gives me hope, Thanks.

That is one great hitchiker!!!! Nice pic!!!

bwest- Once the clown happens to find the anemone he will probably never leave it.

petoonia,
i was definately happy to see it on the rock!

bwest,
patience is the key. hopefully the clown will go to it soon but i have seen people post that there clowns ignored anems for over a year before hosting.

when i put my male maroon clown in the tank with a long tentacle he went in in under 10 seconds then i replaced that with a BTA he went straight in i guess he is special i think once my perculas grow up a lil they will move into the frogspawn

Yeah I think it may help for it to grow a bit larger, currently both clowns just seem to be ignoring it. They sometimes get close and look at it, but seem to have no interest.

GSMguy,
i am not suprised that the marroon went straight to the bta, aren't they their natural hosts? I think marroons are beautiful they are just too aggressive for me.

edwing206& bluecarpet,
thanks.

bwest,
I think the anemone is supposed to be at least 2x the size of the clown for it to be able to host them comfortably.
