Good RO/DI unit? Tell me!

Yes, BRS units are really nice. I wish I'd gotten my original unit from them, but I've been getting all of my upgrades through them and everything is great quality.

I like Spectrapure. I really like my MaxCAP.

I read a guy here complaining about his spectrapure leaking a lot. Have you had that problem?

The unit I linked is good because u can get a lot of stuff with it for a good price

The one I am using was given to me after about five years of use and the unit still works just fine for me... my TDS reading is a bit high at the moment but that's because I haven't replaced the RO membrane yet and I REALLY need to. Anyways, it's made by a company called AquaSafe and so far the best prices I've found online are actually from at USAShower.com , I was pretty hacked when I purchased replacement pre-filters from MarineDepot.com and then a week or two later discovered that I could've gotten twice as many for the same freakin' price at usashower.com! I'm not sure if they sell units with TDS meters though so you might have to buy that seperately... and I highly recommend having a TDS meter.

Okie dokie... well thanks so much for the links everyone. I can't believe just how much I got screwed by MarineDepot.com! Now I feel stupid for not doing my research first!

What it comes down to is $$$

i've talked to the filter guys and they are extremely helpfull but I can get an RO/DI unit with auto-shut off, float valve, dual tds meter, and flush kit at a better price from bulk reef supply. The only thing I don't like is that their unit comes with catalytic carbon which the filter guys told me reduce the life expectancy of your filers, I'll just buy the NH2CL filters from the filter guys later.

Mine has never leaked at all. As long as you hand tighten the canisters, like pretty much all RODI units, you should be good. If you overtighten them they you could crack it and that would cause leaks. All fittings are high quality and have never leaked. I've had mine for about 3 years.

The Premium Series from buckeyefieldsupply.com. Is a better buy then the one from bulk reef supply. It includes the flush kit and a handheld TDS meter, which is more accurate then an inline one. This is the best bang for the buck as mentioned earlier.
