Good snails for salt water tank ?

What snails are good for salt water tank. I already have Rough periwinkle in my tank and they are doing good. But I wonder if there are any other good snails that I can add to my 96 liter tank.

It depends. It's worth saying that you may/may not see these types in Iceland.

There are three types I keep:Trochus (for algae) Ceriths (for detritus) and Narssarius (to stir the sand).

astrea snails are GREAT for algae on LR. Mine leave a algae-free trail wherever they go, but in a few days it comes back, so i gotta get me some more astreas.

I am going to remove the Rough periwinkle and replace them with one of the species where mentioned. Rough periwinkle is good in a tank, but the problem I have with them is the fact they like the shoreline more then the depth of the tank. So they would always hang in the top of the tank, creating there own problem there. As they could get killed in the top of the tank when I was moving the lid or they would fall down and not be able to get back on there foot.

Black Footed Trochus Snails are by and far the best for film algae (Astreas are short lived and need to have space to be out of water on a daily basis; the come from tidal areas). Nassarius (Caribbean and Indo-Pacific are both great) are great for sand sifting and clean up of leftover foods (plus they're fun for kids to watch). Ceriths are great detritavores.

Another plus to Trochus and Caribbean Ceriths . . . Given the right environment they will reproduce in captivity. I haven't had to buy either in over a year. Trochus are very long lived!!!
