Anyways good article did some tests with food on Monti, and Porcilpora.. Sadly no Acros.. but still a really good read.

Makes we want to try switching up from just feeding Oyster Feast, and mixing in a few other things.

Great read. I wish there was some comment on the effect of feeding with regards to coral coloration as well (unless i missed that). thanks for the link!

Just growth not coloration. I wish I hadn't spelled the title of the thread wrong haha.


How would you measure colour though via a study? Who's to say what the "correct" pigmentation should be.

haha i didnt even catch the typo in the title. i got that the study was on growth. totally out of the scope of the study i know but i just wish they would have made some comments in the end about colors getting darker, more pale, whatever. even something general like 'the observed colors changed from x to y and warrant more investigation...' it was a wishful thinking selfish thing. i'm not having much probs with growth in my own tank but poor color and was hoping there might be a nugget of info outside of what i've gotten from reading the forums.

Feeding improves your color so long as you don't overdo it, atleast this is my experience. Feed til you grow algae and then cut it back a little.
