My female ocellaris hasn't had any company for quite some time. I bought a tiny misbar ocellaris from the critter last weekend. She accepted him pretty quick, but wouldn't let him near my gbta that i got from gary a year or so ago. He wouldn't go into the anemone anyway for some reason. I got home tonight, and he was nowhere to be found. I thought i had lost him, so i threw some cyclopeeze into the tank to see if he would come out of hiding. He is only about 1/2". anyway...he comes swimming out of the gbta for the first time tonight. He is so small i couldn't even see him in the anemone. :D He routinely shakes in submission to my large female, which is pretty cool to watch actually.

I never got to watch the shake with Shakes and her new little buddy, but it was a really cool feeling when, after two weeks, I thought I'd lost the little guy, too, then he popped out of the GBTA that Shakes was hanging out in. I love seeing semi natural behaviors. I want some mated wrasses and a spotted mandarin to try to mate with my spotted...

I lost the little guy somehow :( . He wasn't around yesterday morning, with no body to be found. My sg was a tad high (.028), but not for long. I dunno. She doesn't seem to miss him at all. When she lost her mate of about 2 years, it's almost like she mourned. I know that sounds crazy, but she sulked around the display for days when he left.

I wouldn't think the SG would have anything to do with its death, mine gets crazy high in my nano sometimes and doesn't hurt the fish. Sorry you lost him :(.
