Good Sunday Morning !!!!!

The frame is pine and the rest is oak. The floor or the table is not level or completely flat. Thats why the stand sets like that.

I have the updated shots here if anyone is curious-

Saw some really nice Golden patterned Propalythoa colony from a local LFS display tank .... unlike the normal Brown or Green family. Hoping to score a frag or two.

And while there ... a buddy came in with a nice size frag of a Cyphastrea for me and it's FREE ... :D !! I gave him another different colored Cyphastrea some time ago for FREE as well.

Well yesterday I drove to a saltwater club meeting, got a new color of frogspawn for my euphyllia collection and a little acan hillae frag, my first and looking at prices for these online probably my only for quite a while. Very pretty though. Did a water change on my nano and broke my Koralia trying to get it apart to clean it.

Top of the morning everyone.

Does anyone have anything crazy they want to share regarding their systems over the weekend? Good, bad, new hardware or just something new to share etc, would love to hear about it.

I had to remove a few rocks from the back of my tank to scrub away some white sponge I noticed growing in the back corner. Took about a half hour total from start to finish. I use a dedicated bucket and some tank water and a stiff brush. Did a quick rinse and a a power wash to remove all remnants of the sponge, if not, it will only grow back in time.

Got anything you want to share?

Good News- Lots of good coloration and growth this week.
Bad News- 2 frags of my Spiderman Zoanthids are not looking good as of yesterday. :(

I got some nice new zoas that a friend at a LFS found for me. Will have to take some pics and post em.... :P

These are the first zoas I have added to this tank in over a year. Finally got the terrible hair algae in my aquarium cleaned up and gone.

Had to edit this post due to some seriously sad grammar.

I finished setting up my new RO/DI barrel, its all plumbed up and no leaks. 60g of water on hand finally, my last container was a rubbermaid bin that leaked all the time and held about 15g less than was needed for my standard water change, making it a PITA.

but of course wouldnt you know it, the jbj top off controller kicked it so I had to order a new one.

other than that, still have a trashcan full of totoka rock that Im trying to cure/cook, been a month and the water still comes out opaque. hope it is done soon, I guesstimate Ill need atleast 1 more batch, maybe 2 more, and at this pace it might be xmas before its all cured. need more trash cans :p

I have a Nepthea to move into a different tank, a few zoanthid frag plugs to mount onto the live rock in various places and a bunch of baby Aiptasia to decimate!

Somewhat of a bad day.....boyfriend got a "parking ticket" getting water at the inlet....but that's not the worst...

I got a mated pair of Rhomboid wrasses yesterday. Acclimated and put in the tank. A few hours later, male was out and swimming around, female nowhere to be found.

I have to explain, I have a DIY rock foam wall covering the back wall and both overflows. What I realized today is that the wall has a gap on the right overflow. Not sure if you can picture that but between the overflow and the rock wall cover there is about 1/2" gap.

This morning I am looking to see if I can spot the female and then I see a pair of eyes peeking from behind the rock wall, so she is BEHIND the wall.....

I think I know now what happened to my Radiant Wrasse and Kendar Wrasse both MIA.....

I put plastic infront of the grids to raise the water level, so she would be able to swim out, but nothing so far. I am afraid I scared her to where she is now stuck somewhere. I dunno, I am pretty distressed at this point.......I wonder if she will make it out....

Tearing out that wall is not an option, not even for a Rhomboid....

I moved the stand for the 60 hex seahorse tank I'm setting up into the living room last night. I still have to mount the light hangers to it, but the tank is sitting on it finally :D

Finally added a phos reactor to the tank.

Put a micron filter into my magnum and blew all the detrius off my rocks.

Did a water change. Kept the old water in a 10 gallon tank to run my other skimmer in to see how it performs. Cant use it yet, but figured I could play with it till the right time comes.

Moved a couple corals around.

Gave away a few frags.
