Goodbye SLASH!

Thursday I am moving all of my stuff up to a townhouse in Columbia, tanks included. I'm going back to Mizzou and becoming a vet. As a result, I will not be able to attend SLASH meetings. I have resigned as editor and photography contest coordinator. It was a blast hanging out with you guys, I'm sure I'll still be lurking on the forum some but I probably won't make it to any more meetings. This is a great group of people, I hope SLASH continues to grow and be prosperous. Hopefully I'll run into some of you at the LFS in the metro area!

Does anyone know of a saltwater club in Columbia or any fellow reefers in the general vicinity?

Closest one is SLASH :D

Seriously Chelsey, thanks for participating in the club and helping in all the ways you have! Hopefully, you can make it around during breaks from school for the occasional outing or pizza night...don't be a stranger.

i thought you were going to stay in st louis

Nope, change of plans. I decided that I wouldn't be able to do all of the math required for BME and that I'd rather spend my days with animals, even if it is sticking my arm up a cow's rectum to do a preg check

Okay, I am NOT a vet, but I'm sure a baby cow doesnt come out of the rectum!!!!

Nope, it doesn't, but the cervix of the cow is closed until right before birth so nothing can get up there. If you stick your arm up the rectum you can feel past the cervix (from the outside of course) and feel a baby calf or the beginnings of one :)

Thankfully, that is not how I deliver human babies.

Good decision to go with your first love... take care of those animals! :p

Don't be a stranger you are a great person to hang out with and fun to be around. We don't want you to stop hanging out here so we might bother you with some PMs to see how you are doing.

Your one question, last time I was on the fishheads site. It looked as if there still was an active MidMo forum, check it out.

Please don't be a stranger. Good luck with school and the work that goes into being a Vet student.

However I did not need the vision of Chelsey with her arm up a cow's rectum right after eating lunch here at work.

:eek2: :eek1: :eek2: :eek1:

Stop by once in awhile when you are up this way...

Glad you are still making the SLASH events! I think your attendance is better than mine:D

I agree Lon...I do my best to make the meetings and events, haven't missed one yet! :D
