Gorgonia any info?

I'm looking at getting a gorgonia..

I have read that some of them are photosynthetic.. I'm interested in getting one

Sealifeflorida.com has them available... I was wondering if anyone has had any success w/ these? Also where in my tank would be a good spot for one.. I have 2 175 watt MHs on a 75 gallon tank

Any info anyone may have would be great!

a low maintenece one.. so probably not one of the non-photosynthetic ones..

Have had luck with purple tree and incrusting but do not see these available at sealifeflorida.com

I have 3 types in my tank they seem to do well without much light in fact some prefer to come out at night. One i resusitated from a beach in naples. Just keep your water clean. I like to feed mine cyclopeeze. Some are different. Depends on the kind you are getting.

Most of the photosynthetic ones have brown polyps,whereas colored or white polyps are generally nonphotosythetic.

for instance mine are low light varieties, they have white or dark red polyps. My favorite one is a yellow branch with purple spots where the polyps come out and those are brilliant white its sooo cool.

I have Gorgonias. I have silver rods that I got from
http://www.gulf-view.com/gorgonian.html. I have had them for 3 years and fragged them twice for friends. They are kinda slow growing. They love strong current. If the polyps close up and dont open well for a few days I run some fresh carbon do a small water change and make sure they are almost bending over with current and they open right up and look great. They have brown polyps and are about 1/2 inch thick and 14 inches long with 4 or 5 branches each.
