We recently purchased a red-polyped gorgonian (swiftia exerta) from our local LFS. In the week we have had it, it has been losing its outer layer and turning white starting from the base up.
Water parameters are fine and consistent and no other new additions to tank. We are regularly feeding and have it positioned it in current as most of the literature suggests.
Has anyone seen this? Is it dying or is a normal shedding in reaction to the stress of a move?
