Got a pond?

My pond club, Niagara Frontier Koi and Pond Club is having our annual Koi show and auction tomorrow and Sunday at Masterson's on Olean Road in East Aurora.

Gorgeous fish will be on display all day Saturday and Sunday. Local koi aficionados from the NFKPC will be on hand to show off their fish and answer koi questions.

Auction to be held at 1:00pm on Sunday.

There will be all sorts of pond/garden-related merchandise up for auction, and in past years we've seen things go for amazingly low prices. Don't miss out!

Just realized that a lot of my life revolves around my fish - both inside and outside the house - and I love it, love it, love it !:bounce2:

I just love koi ponds. Easier fish to take care of. However the heron always keeps it interesting. The relaxing sound of a waterfall is the best. It is a lot to juggle with both systems, but definately worth it. Would love to go but it's graduation time for this party rental business owner. Time to harvest.

We have a Koi pond in the back yard and a smaller one in the front. The back pond has 11 koi and the front has two small Koi and about dozen various goldfish. Really like the ponds and spend a lot of time putting around "working" on them. I know we can't make it Sunday but with any luck we may be able to sneak there today. Thanks for the info. - Mark

If you have a pond, or are thinking of building one, come on out to one of our meetings. We meet every 2nd Friday of each month at 7:00 at a hall on Koenig Circle in Tonawanda.

We had our mega auction on the 8th, but we will continue to have mini auctions each month. You can pick up lots of pond/garden stuff really cheap. We have a pond tour coming up July 21st where we go to about 8 different member's ponds and then have a picnic at the last place; our pond is one of them this year. I've got 2 small frog ponds and our koi pond is about 13x22 with waterfall and stream.

Check out our website for more info - www.nfkpc.org

If you go to the website, check out the photo contest. My pic won first place in the pond category.

Had a great time there this morning. Lots of BIG fish. My wife and I brought our grandaughters and they were treated like royalty. They're waiting for their Chinese Auction call. Did I say there were lots of BIG fish? Hit up Vidlers and the Roycroft festival in town afterwards. Great day trip.

Glad you enjoyed. If anyone goes today for the 2:00 auction, I'll be under the auction tent. I'll be wearing a yellow shirt that says Niagara Frontier Koi & Pond Club.

So many neat things up for grabs; pumps, garden decor, waterfalls, fish food, japanese maple tree, trellis, and more - - and fish and water plants also. I'll be putting my 'fish paddle' up a lot this afternoon. - lol

Hope to see some of my reefer buddies there - come and introduce yourself to me if you come by.

Couldn't make out there this year, but in the past has always been a very nice event.

Last time I was there they had also arranged for a vendor to bring a large bunch of Showa (fish containing black, orange, and white) from shintaro. Did they have anything like that this year?
