I personally use copper to treat Ich. I have never had much success going with hypo but many swear by it. For the past couple of years I have used a product called "copper power". It is just as effective as cupramine or coppersafe but less toxic. at least, that is their claim. I have no data to support that...just a couple of years of great success with it.

I like copper the best as it is easier to control. Trying to get the proper salinity for hypo is somewhat more of a challenge.

Both are very effective. When using Copper, it's very important to be prepared to test for copper levels every day.
