GOT INDIVIDUAL REFLECTORS FOR MY NOVA T5's LOOK

Ok, so is it any brighter? How much did you spend on the reflectors? Was it worth it? lol

I have two tanks running the same lights :P

A LOT brigter! I spent 90 bucks for 4 of them shipped to me. The boost light output by 300%! Totally worth it. just read the link above as i had to bend them a little because the novas are small

Hrmm, I wouldn't say quite ANYTHING, but 95% of stuff I would think would be fine.

For our 55 and 40, we have the current nova lights, so I may attempt this mod myself.

Hrmm, I have seen the 6x54w on some of the taller large tanks and they look awesome....Not sure what your watt/gallon should be.

His is only 4x54. Just mentioning what I have seen.

watts per gallon is outdated and not really accurate. 216 watts of individually reflected lights has the same PAR as 250 watt metal halides.

quoted from a t5 expert

vho arent anythere compared to pc's and pc's arent ne where compared to t-5s a 4x54w t-5 fixture has more par(tested) than a 2x150w 10k mh

if this is the case why would anybody buy the new solaris fixtures for 5 times the money? i know that wpg will affect corals in many dirrent way. i,ve used 2.0 wpg to 12 wpg and get better results around 8 or so. t5 seem to be not worth the money by time you buy the refletors that sometimes cost more than the bulbs them selves to get the output that everone wants. sorry i'm not trying to hate on t5's but i've seen a couple of your guys tanks with t5's and they look nice but does anybody seen a true sps tank at a 24" depth using t5's with good growth and color? by the way it's my experience that under watting a tank is better than giving to my wattage. i've burned caps and digi with high wattage. good luck.
