Got me a LION!

So, I decided to get my lionfish today. He/She is around 4-5" big.

Here are the pics, I think he's a Red Volitan Lion right? I gave him some formula one to test out and he went for it.

Also, I currently only have 1 powerhead on which is a Koralia 4 and it seems to be struggling fighting against current. Does this fish like current or no?

yes I think it is a P Russelli and the perfect fish for me. Fast grower, hardy, and easy to wean frozen foods

nice lionfish. I have my russells in a 125g with 4 koralia 4s. I think as long as you provide some low flow spots for the lion to relax it will be ok

They love silversides too. mine would eat form my hand if iwould let him. now using a feeding prong. Had him about 2 wks and love him. What a cool fish and interesting. I like the fact that they cant be killed b/c if they could I would.

actually it's not too picky. I fed him a silverside yesterday and ate it right away. He had a stare down contest with it for like a minute but then strike at it and it was gone

great fish. yes thats a russells. Awesome he is already on frozen. Lionfish are awesome fish for sure.

LFS had a two spotted lionfish today. Was gonna buyit but the ownwe said it hasn't been eating yet. What a shame I know some fool will buy it before it is time and it will end up dying. Luckily the owner was at the store b/c the other kids that work there probably wouldnt have told me about it.
