Got my elegance, placement?

I'll probably tinker with the placement by raising it a bit.
The underside is touching rock. but not really any of the fleshy outer part.
Placement opinions?

After days of happiness, the elegance seems to be slowly declining :(
Moved it to a less flow, lower light area.
Tried feeding it some mysis, not interested.
Time will tell, I guess.
Any ideas?

Every other coral looks great.
Just the new elegance.
Always adding things.
Yesterday, a red fromia.
Day before, the fungia.
CA 430, KH 8.8, MG 1360, SG 1.026
I usually keep my KH at 8.4, but it crept up over the last few days.
Made a small adjustment on the doser today to lower the kh a tad.

I would move the small disc on the left center of sand (unsure of coral) and put your elegance there I think you will be better off. I think it's too hidden in the shade and too much restricted flow. Does that make sense? Besides that elegance needs to be shown off front and center ;)

Your params look fine

That's where it was, front and center, lots of flow and light.
Been looking worse every day for the last 3 days in that spot.
Stuck it in the middle to move it as it was not happy.
I may pull it.

The orange disc is the fungia.

Thanks I was thinking fungia. I just watched a video of one feeding on pellet food, awesome! I might have to get one.

Now to figure out your elegance issue. So how long has it been where it now sits?

Elegance are difficult. How long has the tank been running? I don't see any coralline.

Just judging from the SPS's in there I'd say long enough for sure. Just because there isn't any coralline doesn't mean anything accept it's not been seeded. Coralline has to be introduced in the system by another rock or even a snail or hermit crab shell. Otherwise no coralline will grow.

You can buy sps colonies and put them in a new tank, too. I would say it's not possible to avoid coralline if you are adding frags.

This setup is 9 weeks old.
Had to move, so I didn't have much time to get it going so the corals had a home.
Did not lose a single coral from the move though.
But i'll be the first to admit I pushed the tank hard to get it up quick.
Nuked all the rock right before we moved, was tired of the aiptasia.
And I haven't seeded with any live rock, hence not much coralline.

mine seems to like plenty of light and medium random flow ,

probably once a month it will not expand and open and ive never been sure why , i assumed my clowns hosting it annoys it ...

i moved mine around a bit in the first few weeks trying to find a spot it likes .. i have it dead centre of the tank in the sand with nothing else near it , meaning it cant touch any rocks or other corals and it seems to light this. Yours doesnt look like its too bad prolly just a bit stressed hope it comes good

Here's mine. Center and low in the tank. Not on the sand but on a rock wedged into my rock work.

Medium light, medium flow. Grew 2 mouths in 2 months. I feed it every other day when I feed the rest of the corals.
