Got my euroquatics t5 led

I had not thought about getting rid of my reefbrite stripbut considering the blue pop as an alternative is a very good thought for others that are running the straight T5. I am however looking forward to a little savings on my electric bill and I believe that they will be running cooler as well.

Alright, couldn't resist myself and ordered 2 Blue Pops. Will replace 2 Blue Plus' on my ATI fixture and see how that goes.

Let me know what you think of the blue pop,I'm thinking of putting the cool daylight on ch 2 and using the blue pop for dawn dusk ch 1 then I would only be swith in out 4 of 8 with t5

OK, received 2 Blue Pops today and installed them. Sorry for the crappy pics, was trying to do all while trying to meet a work deadline :)

Build quality is pretty good, feels pretty solid. As you can see, the backside of the bulb contains the heatsink as pictured below

They went in perfectly, fit is perfect. As far as color goes, wow they're very blue, you can see them below on Ch 1 of my ATI fixture

I did notice that they do tend to "sag" just a little, you may be able to see this on the left bulb in the pic below. Nothing too bad, but I've read about this in some forums. Doesn't really bother me.

Now for color, here's my grafted monti frag under blue only (sorry for the crappy pics)

You can see the color difference a little better in the below pics.

So far, I'm happy with what I'm seeing....what do you all think?

Sweet. Getting 2 blue pop on Tuesday. Both going on my Ch1 and channel 2 will be 4 B+ 1C+ and 1P+. It might be to blue for my liking so I could end up going with two C+

My Ch 2 runs 1 P+, 1 Actinic, 1 B+ and 1 C+. The Blue Pop dim perfectly as well, looks great and you get that Blue LED look...So far, I'm happy with them.

I was going to comment on a couple things, but now that I've gotten to the end of thread, you guys seem to be on top of it!

:)

Ordered one blue pop with a few more t5,will put it on channel one with a t5 and see how it looks, that will make 3 led.. the draw for me is the fact that they will last.

Just replaced my channel 1 with a blue pop and a geisseman actinic.I'm really liking the blue look that these two bulbs show, definitely a difference from my previous setup and a nice transition from my reefbrite to my daylight setting.the fact that the blue pop will last is also a big plus for me.I now have 3 euroquatic and 5 geisseman

The blue pop is on with a geisseman actinic bulb, there is a big difference when it comes on after the reefbrite alone.the reefbrite gives that super blue actinic look but I don't think it's helping growth much.the combo w blue pop is still blue but has a lighter hue which seems to have a wider spectrum which I think will help growth compared to RB.it's what I was looking for for dawn dusk.
