Got my rock!!!!!!!!!!!

Well just picked up my first shipment of rock / sand
Looks great !!!!!!!!!!!!
Dont see any crabs or anything else bad lol kinda wanted the mantis and crabs. Lots of tree like stuff nice if it stays lol This "base" rock is a million times better then any "premium" rock!

Shipped at 1130am picked up at 1pm in tank by 230pm its 6pm and 0ppm readings lol

Good stuff Rockdiver. You may not have much die off at all considering how quickly you got that in the tank. Is that a 150? What size package did you get? Don't worry. There's some nasty old crabs and mantis in there. It's all part of the fun. :lol:

Make sure you post some photos of part 2 as well.

Well its 8 am had the rock for like 15 hours in the tank and still no
ammonia 0 readings!!!
Is this possible? Test kit is brand new its a salifert ??

Sure. Especially in a large tank like yours. When I cycled my TBS way back when I had like 50 gallons of freshly made saltwater at the ready so I could do massive water changes, and then I never say any ammonia at all through both halves. I finally did a small water change sometime after the second shipment, just because.

Keep watch though. A couple of dead sponges here and there could cause a spike, though a tank your size would probably absorb it pretty well.

Looks good, but give it at least a week.....some tanks get little or no ammonia...some tanks cycle...some tanks are nightmares for cycling...you are in category one!

Just got home from my trip Wend. night and rock still looks the same.....No die off lol all tho the glass is getting dirty and still no ammonia and still seen no bad hitchers lol

Richard lets plan on this saturday 11/4 for the second part??
ammonia is still 0 all other levels are same and no die off
Saturday seemed to work great with traffic and the quickness I think is what helped plus midway is just so much faster service ?
I guess or just got lucky lol
