Got my tank...now need some stuff...

Got my used 90-gallon from the new manager of the Food Lion & work at part-time. I have everything except filters (would like a couple big HOBs like the Emperor 400's or somesuch) and would like to see if anyone has some used 48" long lighting.

Not sure if it's reef or fish-only yet.

I have substrate & dry rock, then will get some live rock and seed it.

Anyone have any used equipment?

I have a ton of junk you can pick through at fire sale prices. No HOB's or lighting. Why do you want one of those god awful filters anyway

What kind of four foot lighting are you looking for? Ive got some standard flourescent, and some compct flourescent. Id sell either of them very cheap (probably give away status if I wasnt trying to find some fundage to get my tank off the ground ). Youd probably want new bulbs for them, but theyve got something that would make light

ive got some t5s with icecap ballast. a total of 8 bulbs with endcaps and 2 icecap ballast

Looks like I'm going fish-only...a few choice pieces just came available for my collection, so I won't have the extra cash to sink into corals or what-not.

So, H2O...you have a PM about your lighting.

Dave, they're mostly just there to circulate water and dose carbon. Routine water changes will be the main "filtration."

Chip, I sent you a PM over ther weekend with what lighting Ive got. Let me know what you think is fair, and either one is yours.

I also have some marineland 402s that I would consider letting go as well, but that is dependant on me getting some type of closed loop pump to start my tank with. Ive got a line on one, so its a good chance I could let you have those as well.

Yup, I got them, thanks. Will be accumulating a bit of cash this week from commissions and paychecks so I'll get back to you by Friday.

Cool, Im in no rush. They are sitting up on a shelf in my garage. Ill be sure and get them down and dusted, as well as making sure they work once you decide what you want.

Ah, I just looked it up, and I was mistaken. They are Hagen Aqua Clear 402s. They are adjustable speed, and can be reversed. The max output is 270gph. I know both of them work, as I just dropped them in my LR bin this past weekend. A buddy of mine needed the maxijets I had in there, so I just swapped them out. If you want them, I can throw a mag in there until I get my tank going. I found a CL pump, so I wont need them at all for the new set up.

Again, Ill sell at whatever you think is fair.
