Got the info on Selcon shelf life....

Spoke with the folks at American Marine (Selcon Mfg)today and asked about the life span of their product. Once opened, he estimated a 9-12 month life span (based on this, I will probably toss out the bottle 9-12 months after purchase). Though refrigeration will not harm the product, he recommended against it as the ingredients may not go back into solution when shaken. They suggested a cool, dry ambient location for storage. When you notice black spots throughout the bottle, it has gone bad and should be tossed.

Hey thanks Loren! I guess the next bottle I buy I won't keep in the fridge. Several people have mentioned the product separating, I wonder if that's why.

Great, I've been keeping mine in the frig. Why, I don't know, just seemed like a good idea. I wonder if I should take it out, leave it or just go buy another bottle.

Thanks Loren for the good info. I assume that if not refrigerated, and it goes out of solution (separates), you can just shake it up right? That's what I do anyway...
