can someone tell me the best way to get a purple tip anemone to release from a rock so he can be relocated? its a smail condy not a large purple tip. about 2-3" i have tried direct water flow??? he wedged himself between the back wall and a rock... the problem is that i cannot move the rock because it is aquascaped to a certain shape (see pic) any ideas on how to do it without hurting it??
thanks

You might have to just end up moving the rocks. You could try to turn of the lights for a day or 2 and see what happens.

Use an icecube on the base of the anemone and it should release a little, then either carefully peel the anemones base off the rock or continue to work the icecube under the foot and it will release (the later is the better choice).

Whats always worked for me is to use a small type zip tie and gently unpeel the foot using the tie. I have used this method numerous times and have never harmed the creature and have successfully removed them everytime.

HMMM A zip tie ?? that would probably work but because of the location of the condy, I couldnt see the feet and would be poking by feel.....

Just close off the light to that side of the aquarium, he will move towards the light. Use cardboard or something, thats what I would do with my Ritteri when I had him.
