Graphing your progress

Does anyone else graph thier tests?
I cooked up this little graph in photoshop to help me track my inital cycle and once I started recording the test results I couldn't stop.
I still use it, with each date line being every 4 days.
I use the blank area to refrence changes made to the tank (water changes, new fish, exc.)

think this might help some of the people with newer tanks. Its nice to actualy be able to SEE your cycle on paper.

Note that I configured it to match my testing kits, the arrows show where I wanted the stats to be (I shoot for a higher specific gravity now, just haven't updated the chart).

looks great, how come no arrows on the calcium, and dkh? and no mag test?

Don't have a mag tester yet, so no graph.

When I originaly made the graph I wasn't sure about where the DKH and Calc would fall, so I left the arrows out. I also couldn't really come up with a pretty way to show a specific range of "goals". Short answer... I got lazy.

Also I can't really graph the calcium in my tank right now.
Last time I tested it I stoped wasting the tester drops after 740 calc. Its prolly around 800 some where.
(DKH is steady at 10)


I plan on adding to it, fixing it, as I add tests.
Might end up having to make a second page, I want a larger area for notes and an "event" graph so I can record when thing happen without putting refrence numbers all over the other charts.

i use a spreadsheet program that automatically creates graphs on demand. comes in handy to check long term progress.

I store readings and notes in a spreadsheet, also. I graph most things out, and they update automatically once I enter the new data.

hehe I like to keep the paperwork with the aquarium I guess.
I'd forget to add the data if I had to use the computer.
