Great Meeting

Thanks Jonh and Angie for a great meeting in a beautiful house with those hard wood floors. That "sink" tank was geat as well as your system. That has got to be the biggest skimmer I have ever seen.

I didn't have a chance to ask at the meeting but would love to know more about your sink tank, it looked great! We have a little one but its so hard to keep nice and clean looking

Yes, great meeting guys...Johns tanks were AWESOME and i love what he did with the outdoor tank...lol... I walked out of there with alot of LR andf a blue tor, and sone xena (and some frag plugs.....lol)....But everyone was great and we had alot of newcomners........we like you guys coming

Yes holy cow. That was my second meeting and there were more new people then that at my first one. What a pleasure to meet everyone new and see everyone old again.

It is so so so cool to see so many new people in this hobby I hope all of you end up sticking with it as time consuming and expensive it can be at times I find it so rewarding- and no where can you meet so many cool people and know for sure you have something this cool in common

This engineer by nature hates socializing the stereotypical ways and this club is a great great great way to meet new nice people worth meeting <3

Just saw this thread today.

Thx everyone for coming and it was great seeing so many new people as well as some that haven't been to a meeting in years. It was pretty crowded so I just stayed outside.

I think I might build a bigger skimmer now that I don't have a frag tank sitting above it. I already have a 4ft tube of 9" acrylic. I'll put it on the list but the list is long.

We kept the dogs in the bedroom until the end of the night and the min pin (Sparky) longer. Oldest dog (Troika) is 17 and is deaf now and just kind of wanders around. Sparky will make you wish you were deaf, or is that just me?

Anyway, thx again for all of you that came, it really is a GREAT club!

Maybe not member-wise(I don't know), but this is definitely true for meeting size. We had been averaging in the mid-forties for people attending meetings, and now we're in the 60's-70's range...it is just insane!!

And no, John, it's not just you...that little pup sure does make a big noise.

I think Matt and Melissa said we were close to 80, but I remember some meetings several years ago being packed and then it dwindles down some. Part of the ebb and flow of ORCA I guess. This year's SRC meeting in July will definitely be our biggest meeting and by far the best. We had a SRC meeting this past Saturday and the momentum and energy being put into it is amazing. This club has come so far since I first joined and it's the people that make it what it is. So much diversity from people with a common interests.

And no, John, it's not just you...that little pup sure does make a big noise.

He's just misunderstood, or I misunderstood what life with him would be like.
