Great Meeting

The fungia plates are really a cool coral and it's amazing to see how much they will open up to eat something big. I was a little overrun with them for a while but I'm definitely keeping one for the new tank I'm planning. I'm thinking 72 x 30 x 24, so the same width and height but deeper front to back. Not sure if I have a hobby or an addiction.

lol, I have admitted I have an addiction. It's expensive, but not harmful to my health. If you ever have anything else you want to sell, let me know :) Always looking.

John's tanks were always nice. Always a nice guys. Some of the nicest pieces I got were from him.

Yeah, I think of everyone I've met at the ORCA meetings, John always goes out of his way to say hi to me, and we've never even had a really good conversation. One of the most welcoming guys I've ever met.

His tank is awesome! forget nice. lol

You guys say the nicest things. You tank is looking good Jason. I saw some pics you posted recently.

I still remember my first ORCA meeting and it can be a little intimidating at first. So many faces have come and gone so it's important to me to talk to as many people as I can. It is always hard to have long conversations though because so much is going on and I have the attention span of a house fly.

How is the zoo tub doing outside? Did the winter treat it well? Did you ever get your tank under control? I know you were having some issues but that was probably about 8 months ago if I recall. Could be longer.

We basically shut down the tub outside for growing last fall but it's still running with rock in it. Going to use it to basically cook some rock down. Main tank is better but I think my sand bed is shot so I'm pulling it out a little at a time and I'm going to upgrade to a 72x30x24 tank. Still have good growth out of my sps but some colors are not nearly as good as they once were. I ran some phosphate remover and some colored up better so it indicates a problem still. That tank has been running for 5 years and it was an upgrade from a 55 so most of the stuff in it has been running for 7 years.

yeah... I don't know... the tank looked ok, but I was too distracted by the bright yellow extention cord stapled up on the wall... (lol)
