OK last set of questions and I'll have a pretty good hold on how I'm going to do this:
1. Do you guys still use a booster pump between well water and the RO part of the filtering? Or just use regular pressure?
Yes, my house pressure range is 45-65 psi. The booster holds it steady at 80 psi
2. What is your process to degass in the first container?
As explained, I degas after the RO but before the DI. I use a simple cheap air pump/air stone.
3. Once degassed you use your mj1200 pump submersed in the first container to pump out of 1st container and into the DI part of the filtering correct?
Correct. You only need a slight trickle going thru the DI. About the same rate you would see if you still had the RODI hooked up under normal conditions.
If so what type of tubing do you use to connect pump to the DI unit? I think I read the mj1200 is 1/2" and the tubing to the DI unit is 1/4".
Took the MJ1200 to Lowes, mixed and matched fittings, but in the end, 1/4 poly line, the same that you would use on the RODi unit. It's the same as the line they sell for plumbing an icemaker on a fridge. Lowes sells it. Also since it's submerged, it doesn't have to be 100% leak free.
4. I have the BRS 4 stage 75 gph RODI unit and wondering specifically which stages get used and in what order. The first 3 stages to the degasser container and just the DI out to the 2nd container?
Yup, just follow the output line from the RO chamber (not the waste line), disconnect it from the DI, run that into the degas container. Run the air pump for a few days, (I always keep this full and aerated) then pump it thru the DI into the storage containers. I have 2, one with RODI water, one where I mix my salt.
