I must say that this hobby at times is really frustrating. Its also easy to say it would be easier to get out of the hobby. But its people like the following that help me keep myself sane and understand stuff happens.

Every year I take 2 vacations usually in May and december. This time this past month I was in and out of the country or the state. Mostly out of the country. I am very private about my tank and have many inhabitants and this last trip one of my tanks took a turn for the worst. I dont blame the person taking care of it but realized there are more important things in life. I have lost close to 2k of corals and have listed only a few i have lost below:

LE jaydas watermelon chalice
LE pumpkin patch chalice
LE bubblegum monster chalice
LE pastel pink chalice
LE key lime sherbert mycedium
berry garcia chalice
orange sherbert chalice
rastafarian echino
LE Mummy Eye chalice
Emerald Mummy Eye Chalice
LE Seasons Greetings
Afterburner Chalice
Goldfinger Chalice
Vivid Echino (also known as Pinkie)

LE Spongebob favia
LE Pastel War and Peace Favia
Scorpion Favia
Sweetpea Favia
cabbage patch favia
molten eye favia
monroe favia
powderpuff favia
graffti favia
goldensurfer favia
pink pixie favia
pink monster favia

The list goes on and I cant stress how much it goes on. But what i learned about this issue is that this hobby introduces us to many great reefers who eventually becomes great friends. Without some of these people listed below I wouldnt be convinced to just throw in the towel.

POOKSTREET - greatest and kindess reefer I know. Family oriented and very cool. One tank I look at in amazement every time

SteveOhh - Great guy to talk smack with. Also someone who has great advice and great corals.

WISHNTOBOUTSIDE - Very knowledgeable and enthusiatic about our hobby. Has best selection of acans possible.

SniperSPS - Guy is always smiling and very considerate. Has the top notch sps everyone wants and needs in their tanks.

GCarroll - My first tank crash greg gave me a frag to re-setup my tank. First person to ever do this for me. I will never forget it and I try my best to do the same. Must say Greg is very organized and knows his lighting.

Ron at AIM - He's the homie....great eye for corals.

Reefer4sho - Always gots the hook up ons hardware man...hows that purple tang son.

SR71 - Best zoas in the game. Always the homie for deals and watches out for corals I might be interested in.

There is so many others I can list here but I am getting lazy. I didnt post this thread to list what I lost or ask for handouts. I just wanted to thank MY REEFER FRIENDS and tell them I appreciate them and keeping me in this Hobby.

Please feel free to post Great Reefers who have become Great friends.

These guys have been awesome!

Terry (stryker)
Ali(Amazing Aquariums and Reefs)

Friends help each other out. That's why I treasure the relationships I've built over the years. Some come and go but the true friends stick around. My shoutouts to several of those on your list too.

and the funny thing is you see a guy for an hour, maybe a half hour, wont see em for a year or two and you can pick right back up where you left off..

A lot of the guys on my list are long gone these days' Tracy, Paul, Carlos, Steve, but the list is long and gets longer as time goes on.

same here over the past 3 years i have met lots of people from this board. i could say anywhere from 100+ and that's not exaggerating
Lots of fun people here on this board. Its also cool when you find out the guy down the street is a reefer and you find him via RC

would be nice to see the hobby take a few steps back and enjoy for the hobby and friedship part instead of a way to make money
