Does anyone have a suggestion for a nice and bright GREEN acro that doesn't table or become huge? It would occupy the last decent piece of real estate I have and therefore 'close' the tank. A millepora or something similar would be in the ballpark. A picture of your suggestion would help also. TIA.

Acropora samoensis is often bright green or yellow/green and it's on Diver's Den pretty frequently. I like it because of it's digitate growth form.

i really like the one reeffreak posted...
though i really like my green/yellow tort too
grows like mad... but this pic doesnt show the color well at all... its much more flourescent green, or yellowish you could say... think of a green highlighter marker

I like my frogspawn great coral. Also Phil's granulosa if out want a great nuclear green/yellow
Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I really appreciate them. The samoensis and the tort are definite possibilties though I'd love to find a frag of the former as opposed to a colony. Also, do you know if they stay compact like that or become monsters when they settle in?
Keith: Thanks much for the offer but I already have some green stylo and in regard to lighting, the spot I'm looking to fill is pretty bright. As for the frogspawn, I've found that the water movement in this tank is a bit much for most LPS. Favia and Chalices do well but that's pretty much it.

DFS calls it their Limesicle. Is the picture representative of its actual color? And finally, what is a 'Tierra del Fuego' acro? Is it green? I've never seen or heard of it (or at least not by this name) but I'm told it's a fantastic piece. Thanks in advance again.

I can only speak from experience with A. humilis, which is closely related. I only recommended the A. samoensis because I plan to get one soon. I got my A. humilis about 2 years ago and it was about 2"w x 1.5"h and now it's about 3.5"w x 3"h. It could've had better flow at times though. So, from my experience I don't think you'll need to worry about it taking over for a while. I've seen some large digitate acro's but they were always wider than they were tall, and they never towered over neighboring corals.
