green aiptasia anemones

I think its time I get serious about removing them. At first I let the one or 2 be because I think they are pretty, bright green with hot pink tips. Now they are starting to encroach on my good stuff and are multiplying too much. I have tried a few products like jo's juice but it just does not seem to work. Any advice on how to get rid of these pests safely? Please and thank you:eek1:

I think you've got tulip anemones. Other than rock removal, standard tactics apply. Kalk paste, aiptasia x, hot water injection, etc... They are truly painful to combat. There may be some butterfly fish that MIGHT eat them, but that isn't a risk free solution either. Best of luck with those little buggers. Montano anemones became the bane of my last tank, so I feel your pain.

I have some of those Majano nems as well...soon I'll be cooking that rock to rid the system of them hopefully.

I agree, they're pretty!

I originally liked them as well. They seemed to stay in one place and made a nice bed. Then they all started walking seemingly overnight. I made as thick of a Kalk paste as I could get in a syringe and liberally applied it to them. I then reapplied once every 3 days until they were gone.

Make sure you don't hit any of your corals by accident.

they are the worst much harder to kill than aiptasia get on them quick they wiped out my 180......I plan on ordering one of the lasers to make sure I never have a problem again.
