Take a look at this picture, Ignore the tang and the nori, just look at the glass.. I have this pain in the butt algae growing on my glass, its green and speckled all over. the magnet will not remove it. I have a scrapper, but that doesn't seem to help much, what am I dealing with here? How can i get rid of it. Params look good, water quality I can not believe is the issue.

its some kinda algae i dunno exactly what it is but i get it too. my mag float takes awhile to get it off but the easiest way to get rid of it is a razor blade. use that and things will be good.

I agree with jetcat there just use your magfloat a little more the next time it will be clean and it should be easy to get rid. I do mine every other day.

It's good algae. My LFS calls it green dot algae for a lack of better terms. Some can even turn to coraline on LR. I have a ton of it on the back of my tank where I can't reach with my mag float.

Ok well I shall find a good scraper. Thanks all....

Any animals that will eat it?

Nope on animals that'll eat it (I've already asked LOL). Please report in if you find a good scraper. I've used razor blades in the past which work great until they rust (one use LOL).
