Help!!!!
I started my biocube 29 three weeks ago with 20lbs. live sand and 30lbs LR. Didn't really have a cycle. Little to no ammonia or nitrites, temp 78, salinity 1.024, PH 8.2. I went through my brown algae bloom, got my clean-up crew and have a two clowns, bubletip anemone, lawnmower blenny and a few shrimp. Everything was good but now I'm getting a significant ammount of green algae. It's seems heavier near the top of the tank and on the sides of the glass near the sand. After I set it up I realized that it is in about an hour of sunlight in the AM and about 2 hrs in the evening. I don't have any red, slime or hair algae just plain green stuff. I want to put some soft corals in but am concerned I may have to move the tank and want to do it before it is too established. Any suggestions???

I think you're moving a bit fast. Anemones need very stable water conditions, something after almost a year I havent been able to get perfect. What type of algae, and can you get a picture of it? Also, have you tested your phosphates, if so, whats the reading? What are you using for top off water & water changes?

Sunlight on the tank will definitely have negative effects on your tank. PO4 buildup is also probably occuring as well. Here is what I would do:
1. Block the sunlight.
2. Add several more snails/crabs for cleanup crew, maybe rent a sea hare
3. Do not add more livestock until algae is under control.
4. Increase protein skimming/water changes with RO/DI water and a TDS of 0.
5. Use a PO4 remover like rowaphos/phosban.
6. Clean mechanical filters daily.

I would suggest not adding any livestock at all for say, 60 days. You loaded up awfully quick to the hilt. Get that algae problem under control, and just enjoy and maintain for a while before thinking of adding anything else. Also, I'd say you are about maxed out on fish, maybe one more little one max.
