how old is the tank? What lighting and how old are teh bulbs? the comments above are point on - check your phosphate and nitrate. if you don't have a test kit bring your water to a local reef shop and have them test it

looks like a healthy aquarium to me!

If you don't have anything that eats snails I'd put a couple of big "Turbos" in there. (I see some Astreas are slowly mowing it.) What herbivorous fishes do you have?

Worse case scenario.... if that algae really bothers you scrape it off with a razor blade BUT as long as you have it there it's acting as an "algae scrubber" and it's only "bad" aesthetically and PERHAPS indicative of a PO4 problem BUT I bet if you test your water PO4 won't be terribly high because nuisance algae is keeping PO4 low.

Remember- snail turds are a huge source of PO4. Brisk water movement and good filtration removes snail turds which fuel nuisance algae. It's a vicious never ending cycle in closed systems.

Hey Terry! How long has it been since you changed your RO/DI filters? Using your automated system you are going through tons of water, and may need to change them out quicker than you think. I also agree with Gary, a clean up crew is always helpful as long as everything else is stable.
