Green Brittle Star loosing arms

I have got a green brittle start that all of a sudden is loosing its arms. Two days ago I found half an arm wrapped around a rock, so I thought it just got stuck and thought nothing of it. Now last night it has dropped another arm. Is there anything that might be causing this? It is time for a water change but nothing is out of order with readings?

Are the current water parameters OK? sudden specific gravity changes can cause them problems.

That maybe my problem then. I had to move the star and a few other things to a QT. I thought that I acclimated them well enough.

So you had just added the brittle star.

I added the star to the QT tank, had it in the regular tank for almost a year.

Did you add any meds to the QT tank? Have you ever used copper in the QT tank?

I'd start by checking parameters. How long has it been in the QT?

I had one lose arms when a Koran Angel wanted appetizers, but it grew them back after removing the stressor.

There were no meds put in the QT tank. I used water from the main tank and added some new cycled water. This was done at the time of a water change. I moved the star beacuse I am trying to fight a bad Aiptasia outbreak. I have added soem Brughia nudibranches to teh main tank.
