Green BTA problems - Help Please

Hi All

I have a large Green BTA around 25-30cm. It was given to me by a friend that has had it for a few years. He was sent to me just a little over 2 weeks ago and he is acting rather strange.

He sometimes does not stand on his foot and just plonks over a bit. There is not too much flow in the QT tank so I guess if he would be floating around if there was. He sometimes grabs onto the bare bottom as normal.

His foot is also not round so I guess this is from living in an odd shape rock for so long?

Is this a sign that he way not make it?

Is there anything I can do to help him out?

It doesn't sound like anything to worry about.

Why is it in a QT? I see no reason to QT anemones. It is best to get them into a stable final environment. Putting it in a QT for a month then moving it to another tank is only more stress.

+1 on that. Put them in their intended home and let them settle in. Moving them alone can be stressful enough.

Well perhaps QT was a bad word to use. I have a tank that is going to be a BTA only tank and at the moment it just has 5 BTA's in it. Been running for around 6 months.

It is in the one sump compartment (1500x400x400).

So I don't need to stress...just leave him be?
