Green carpet

My Acans are doing just fine, but I have this green algae carpet that has appeared in the last week.

My tank is about 3.5 months old and has gone through all the normal phases of cycling. Now this... Tank is BB and this really ruins the look - any idea what to do about it?

At only 3 months in, your tank is still getting situated. I've come to expect various organismal phases in new tanks even to 6 months.

Looks like you have a great reason to build an ATS though.

Yeah, if only I'd have some place in my appartment...

So, wait it out and the green stuff should be gone with good husbandry?

It should fade back, but you do need something to eat at it some. With good husbandry it will probably still grow, albeit very slowly. If you have a few hermits and snails that ought to do it.
