I got this frag from a friend free it was all browned out and I put it in my tank. Then I changed bulbs and put it in the sand and now it is turning white kinda chalky looking.I didnt have it in the tank very long before the bulb change so I cant pin point it to that. what do you think is going on here? sorry the pic is with the main light off. the only problem with my water is a tad of nitrates. I also drip kalk very very slowly to stabilize ph calc mag and alk. I know people like to see numbers but I dont have any with me, rest assured they are well taken care of.

Hard to say without any specifics on tank/parameters. Picture also does not show anything and cannot even see if polyps still exist. Post your parameters and system details and a better picture and you will find more help. In addition, what type of lighting do you have? Do the polyps ever extend? Photo Period?

Normally digi is one of the easier SPS to keep so I'm assuming this is your only SPS in the tank?

Light acclimation is very important! Do you dose alk, cal and mg? If so what are the readings? Can we have more specific in fo and a better pic?

Lighting on from 11-8 pc only 1 hour before and 2 after. so the mh is on from 12-6 temp is 77-78 and not my only piece I also have a sunset monti and a dragon ball z chalice and a few others that are doing well
