Green gig w/blue base

I got a green gig with blue base. is this common or was it dyed?

Normal. Check for a cut or scar on it. Was the mouth closed tight when you bought it?

this one was definitely cut and has since heeled. I've had this one for about 2 weeks now and it is responding to feeding. I will try to get some pics of it.

I got it from lfs which was still in the bag it came in from.

Good news! I have one that's been cut but the mouth won't close. I don't think it's fully healed yet.
