Recruiting Help for the Story Line. (ALGAE Hunger Wars: Episode I - Algae Wars )
Folks,
What started as a simple enhancement to the next Timelapse has become a major production. My son has been helping teaching me video/graphics skills.
So the film shooting is completed, and the Story Line pretty well set.
It's taken many hours, and still continues with the final editing.
Now in the Story mode, we are racking our brains for some extra entertainment content.
WE NEED HELP FROM EVERYONE.
- Post your idea's for names for the Clean up crew.
- Anything funny to do with Algae, Algae clean up, Algae water conditions, etc
- Any puns to do with Reef Aquarium.
Everyone's input will be considered, however we can't promise everyone's idea will be used, since this task has become monumental.

Without revealing much about the plot.... Which has a Star Wars theme.
Need names that are aquarium related puns/twists for the following characters.
- Yoda
- Hans Solo
- Luke Skywalker
- Darth Maul
- Storm Trooper
- Jaba the Hutt
- A Jedi Knight
- Bobafet (Bounty Hunter)

Algae Wars - Episode I (UPDATE)
Quick update.
The editing continues. This is becoming a full length feature movie.
I am eating, sleeping, dreaming the plot, storyline, and effects.
Also am researching original Star wars characters, planets, places.
May take a bit more time. Hoping to release for Christmas Day or sooner.
At this point would appreciate some more buzz words/concepts. Anything to do with Tank Maintenance, filtration mechanical, natural.
Coral terminology. Microbiology technical terms. Anything to trigger ideas.
ie (Skimmer, GFO reactor, bioload, etc, etc)
Anything to add to the storyline.

Algae Wars - Eposide I (UPDATE)
Just want to inform everyone that I continue the efforts on the Movie Production.
It keeps getting better and better, since each skit is leading to more ideas.
To keep things on schedule I may release a Part 1, since the complete production will take longer.
Stay tuned.

ALGAE Hunger Games (EXPERIMENT) Update: Phase 2 (Other Food)
Quick updated.
I continue to monitor activity in the Algae Tank.
I have added a new freshly loaded Rock. Everyone is working on it. However hunger has dropped, since I think they are getting full.
There has been concern that Conch may not be getting enough food without a large sandbed. (Watch Conch. He seems to be wandering away from Sandbed).
Moving on to extra experiments.
As per photo below, nature is kicking in. The tank is starting algae on glass, and also on white egg crate. Look brown to me.
I also added some Purple Sea weed to see if any citters are interested and will eat.
BTW. Work on the movie continues. These creature are amazing in TimeLapse. They are natural stars, and seem to do thing just right to enhance the plot.

GAME Chamber (WATER TEST) - NO3 & PO4 (Post 2 Rock clean up)
So here is the water test.
- 2 Heavily Algae covered rocks were clean up by CUC. (One Partially)
- No Phosphate reactor has been added yet.
- Skimmer skims very lightly
- No food was added till today's Seaweed.
- I am not yet adding Phosphate reactor.
- Both P04 / N03 Level are tank acceptable (actually desirable).
- Let's see a few more rocks get cleaned.
Once this 2nd rock is polished, rock #3 will be added.
I think the Clean up crew is stuffed and taking a break. They now have a piece of tasy Purple seaweed for variety.

I checked out your link. Interesting experiment. You Algae problem is still quite small based on your pictures. My Cowrie would polish that off in 1/2 a day. Wouldn't be enough for the Seahare. You might want more CUC while you algae problem is still small.
I am a Algae expert. However only on how to grow it in my tank at this point.
Hoping to figure things out eventually.
I've used ChemiPure for years. Great stuff. Always made my water sparkling clean. ChemiPure Elite added the Phosphate removed. I also tried it, but not before getting into these GHA issues.

Got two of them at Big Al's Woodbrige. Quite a wile ago.
Gave one away since it was eating one of SPS corals (Pollicipora). It's an Arabica. Don't get a Tiger, they eat all Corals.
2nd one got put into my sump, and keeping Sump Sparkling clean.

Algae Hunger Games (UPDATE) Fighting Conch put into my SandBed Tank.
So I notice on TimeLapse Cams, the Conch wasn't too happy. Kept leaving the sandbed I made for him. Wandering but not eating any Algae rock.
He has been dripped and put into my SPS tank. The fish are quickly greeting the new resisdent. Setting up camera over my tank to see his behavior before he goes under the sand.
