green algae is showing up on the walls of the tank and refugem. do i wipe it off of the main tank and leave it grow in the refugem?? is it good bad....any suggestions?

It can be a sign of the maturation process of your tank- as it cycles, the algae feeds on the nutrient byproducts. Just scrape it off, and keep an eye on your parameters- ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, etc. It also arises from a lack of circulation and subsequent removal of wastes, and can be a consequence of lighting. If you have sufficient flow, good skimming and do regular water changes, the algae will disappear when the tank is fully cycled- good luck.

start pulling it out by hand before its gets out of control or the cycle will take even longer believe me i just got threw it myself

Try running ROWAphos in your tank with or without a reactor. This will keep your phos and silicate down in the tank. You will get brighter colors on corals better skimmer performance and... less algea. Good luck
