Green Star Polyps; Who has largest colony/infestation!?

There was a tank in the Monterey Bay Aquarium that had all of one wall, the overflow and parts of the bottom covered in GSP, it looked really cool, must of been a pain to control, but to my disappointment they took it down a few years ago.

So who has a HUGE colony of GPS?

You'll probably get a better response if you post in the reef or coral forum, just my guess. This one is geared towards photography.

Just trying to help :) I thought you just wanted to hear about large green star polyp colonies... since that's what your post said, I didnt realize you meant you wanted pictures of it.

If you want to see pictures of it, then this is probably a decent place although really, I think you'll get more response in some of the reef forums, you'll get a higher percentage of people who have GSP and who have pictures of them!

Either way, as you point out it's a frigg'n infestation... I hate that stuff... nothing kills it.....

I actually really like GSP. I always thought it would be cool to have a tank full of it. I have quite a bit in my 125. Here is the latest FTS I have. all the green on the left and middle are LARGE areas of GSP.

This was my 65 gallon reef. I no longer have the tank but the huge gsp colony did look pretty cool. Especially under actinics.

Great pics, keep em coming.

I am thinking of glueing some GSP to my glass or overflow in my tank... :D

Do they need high lighting or something? Mine lasted for about a year but got covered by cyano and never really grew much, under 4x65watt PC in a 80g. Ill try again with 6x54 watt in my 90g...
