Do I need to feed my green torch coral Mysis or anything? I have had it about two weeks and its tentacles seem to be shorter than before. Ca is 410 alk is 8.1 and mag is 1340 nitrates 0 nitrites 0 ammonia 0
what kind of flow do you have it in? I have notice with alot of my torches. Low flow,,the tens. get short & fat. The ones in higher flow get long a stringy
Try turning all the powerheads off for 24-36 hours. Mine did the same until I let him get used to the tank slowly, now his tentacles are opening up to 2" and a nice and plump looking.
Consider moving him lower in the tank as well. I ended up having to adjust him slightly as he didn't like very much flow on him at all. Mine doesn't like much flow just a nice brush every once in awhile to move his tentacles.
Definitely feed all LPS they love it!
Thin tentacle torch come from where the water is very clear and cold down to 19C with lots of current. Short stubby tentacles torch come from calmer, murkier and warmer water. Adjust and place accordingly.
