Green Wolf Eel on a hunger strike

Hey everyone,

My Green Wolf Eel (Congrogadus subducens) is on a hunger strike. It all started about a month ago when I moved his tank into another room in the house. He was really stressed out about having to be caught with the net and when re-introduced back into his tank, went into hiding for 2 days.

He used to eat very well, but after the move he started to act shy and stubborn about eating. It would usually take 2-3 days between meals to feed, but currently he's been on a 7-8 day hunger strike. He shows interest and will sometimes strike, but just wont take. I've tried feeding with the room lights out, with an acrylic feeding stick, on a fishing line... nothing is working. He may have eaten some mysis that I dumped in the tank, maybe... not 100% sure.

Here are a list of his conditions and water parameters:

8" Male Green Wolf Eel
37G Tall (30"x12.5"x25")
Housed w/a Green Spotted Puffer (3")

NH3 = 0ppm
N02 = 0ppm
N03 = 10
SG = 1.017
Temp = 80.7F

For the record this GWE was introduced into my tank while it was more on the brackish side. The tank was 1.017, then reduced down to 1.015, and has fluxuated in that area for months. Congrogadus subducens are often found inhabiting brackish conditions, and he was doing quite well in relatively high-range brackish. However, I raised the specific gravity, and are still continuing to raise it, to see if that might be the problem.

Any suggestions?
