Greybeard's wide, shallow peninsula

A gyre on the plumbed end my do it too. Looks great though.

Where?

Here's a shot of the initial overflow/return lines, before it ever got wet...

I now have 2x 3000gph Rossmont pumps under/outside of the left return, alternating down the glass in slightly different directions. It's enough flow that I'm getting a whirpool effect at the far end of the tank, and with two pumps, periodically switching, there's some random eddies and cross currents, among a generally circular flow pattern, counter clockwise around the tank.

I actually had a Gyre 130 on the viewable end at one time. Flow was great... but it looked like crap.

I'm going to leave it as is for a while. If it becomes an issue, I may add an MP40 to the viewable end. I can do that with a minimum of wiring, anyway. We'll see... I'm hoping not to need it.

HA! Didn't get a good look at all that in the earlier pictures. Sounds like you have flow taken care of anyway, and hopefully you won't have to add more later (I bet you don't).

Just a pic... Build is officially done... though I'm a long way from done with the reef itself. Finished the book shelves last week. I'm happy with it :)

Should have done a coast to coast on that end to keep it clean looking.

Doesn't look horrible, nice dimensions though

Couldn't. The pipes from the H2 overflows go through a wall, with the external overflow box 4.5" away from the tank. I didn't specifically look at coast to coast, but I looked at Shadow, and several other low profile overflow system. There is no way to move the outside overflow box out away from the tank. With this overflow system, it was easy.

Nice tank and stand! I'm really liking the less is more on the rock. I like the aquascaping and I would really like to be able to get to all four walls to wipe the glass down.

Now I understand. Makes perfect sense. How did you tell planet where to drill the holes for an overflow made by a different seller (CA)?

Easy, I sent them an autocad layout :)

The end product was _exactly_ what I asked them for. I have to say, dealing with them through a 3rd party was a PITA, even though in my case, the 3rd party was a friend, and willing to let me see quotes that showed me his profit margin. I can't even imagine how tough it would have been had he been unwilling to let me see the documentation directly. Excellent quality products. For the price, amazingly so. Their unwillingness to deal directly with the customer is a major stumbling block. IMHO, the only one you have to work around in buying from PA.
