Greyson's 18G Nano Build

Heres a fts, haven't posted one in a while...it's a little messy as i have a cup with rubble to get some stuff to attach, and im going to remove that frag rack soon as it is only holding one frag at the moment.I have to cut the base shorter on some of the plugs so that they don't show as much, doesn't look natural. I'm still considering getting a reefbreeders nano to swap out my kessil with. If anyone wants to buy my kessil send me a pm !

temp 80-81 during this time of year.

it's stable for the most part, i have to just keep an eye on it
 
Great setup Greyson! I just set up the exact the same tank (downsizing from a 75g). What are your thoughts on the glass top? Do you use it?

Initially i did use this and what i learned from my experience is that it WILL act as a diffuser for your lighting. It will take some of the intensity away, and it will take even more intensity away when you have evaporation and there is water dripping from the glass. For me since i do not have a Rodi unit and use distilled water the lid was a good option since i didn't lose much water. However heat and gas exchange became an issue to the point where my tank had a p.h of 7.4 (scary). So currently i am lid free. The tank is beautiful though, i think it would of been nicer if the edges of the front glass weren't a single piece, the curve has that "distortion" kind of like a biocube.
 
Beautiful tank bud, I just have a quick question, do u recommend black background or blue? I kinda noticed yours is kinda black, I have a blue wallpaper on mine but am ready to change it, it kinda sucks lol

This tank has a black acrylic back, so i didn't have an option. Blue is not bad, Black is better. But if it was up to me i wouldn't have any background honestly. I like the completely clear ada style look the best which is probably my next tank.

Yea this is mine and it really sucks, I wanted to do clear at the beginning but kinda stuck with some cables on the back, have to think how to hide them
