Groove in Swabbie cover?

I just bought new 8" Swabbie. The cover does not have a groove although older 10" model had it.

So is that how they come these days without the groove? Although web site describes groove dimensions.

Ditto ....just got the 7" swabbie and no groove in the lid either.
Is this how it's supposed to be or has the website not been updated to reflect the change. Also unrelated to the groove in the lid, my squeegee doesn't reach the very bottom of my neck is it ok to run that way or should I tryandget in touch with them about a longer squeegee

We got rid of the lid groove on the newest version. It proved to be unnecessary since the lid clips are used to center the lid. The groove was causing fit problems with odd-sized metric acrylic tube, and did nothing to center the lid or help performance in any way.

BrklynArch, re: wiper, the short wiper is ok if that portion of the neck doesn't normally get too dirty. Usually the upper part is the worst. I'm happy to switch out the blade for you if you need it though. Just send email with your order info.
