Where dose the ground wire for a retro fit lighting hood mount to?
I have a hamilton dual 175w MH and dual 40vho set up but I'm not sure where the ground wire is susposed to mount at.

if it''s a 2 prong plug then just cut the ground off.
it will still work
And as an added bonus with this solution you will put your hand in your tank one day and get a lovely shock. If you pretend the outlet is a face (two slits for eyes, one hole for mouth) put the ground wire in its mouth. :eek1: If you do have a two prong you should still find a grounded object in your house and run it to that (conduit or something).
I think we are talking about the wrong wire end. The plug is hooked up I need to tie in the sockets? the unit can be pluged in and turned on but the lamp is not hooked up.
you shouldn't have any thing but that green wire hook up to the third prong.
this grounds the ballast through the outlet.
like bruise said it's the mouth on the smiley face
