Group Buy DI Color Changing Resin

I think he meant is ther e aprice break, next tier pricing, etc that would result from the 2nd bag being all "sold". Or if you were not planning to order it if you didn't have it all spoken for. Since from what I have read neither of those are the case, the answer for Mike would be "No, no incentive"

At the very least it would prevent you from having to post and manage an Ebay auction for the remaining resin :)

ahh there is no other break once you hit 1 cubic foot, so 2 cubic feet is the same price.

Order placed.

I hope it will be here for the meeting, but it's not looking good.
I feel like a complete idiot for missing the meeting day by a week!!! I had it planned out all so well!!!

If it does not make it in time for the Friday meeting I will hold until the next meeting for anyone who wants, because of my mistake.

The DI is IN!!!!
Yeah!!!

I feel like I'm splitting drugs or something, with little baggies and a scale.

I'm still splitting it, but will let you know when it's all bagged and ready.

I'm putting it in 1.5 or 1.0 lb bags because I figure thats how most of us will use it, (one bag at a time). That way you don't have to open more than you need when you use it.

Here are some pics of what came in and such.

I can get my son to take some to school and push it on all his friends... then all the 6 year olds in the neighborhood will be hooked on DI color changing resin - never will they have nasty school cafeteria water again!

Dude,

That looks like some awesome stuff man, just give me a heads up when the baggies are ready man.

Peace out dude,

John

Here's what my spent resin looked like.

I "should" be available (Tues) in the evening hours if anyone wants to drop by and pick it up,
and play some bowling or mrs. pac man on the arcade
:)

Hoh man!!!
Next time we do this, it will even be EVEN CHEAPER!!!

The place where I bought these two bags made a mistake by not removing the packaging label, and that gave me the name and address of where THEY purchase this stuff, (IE: Now we can cut out the middle man.)

So I went directly to that company, and just got a price quote back from them for
ONLY $130 + $40 shipping for a cubic foot of the exact same stuff!!!

The mark up on this stuff is just insane!!!

On the next group buy we can get it for like around $4.25 per lb!!!

Sweet!
Steve, we can chalk up the price difference to R&D costs. No reason to feel bad about the price we paid this time, and we can be thankful for the pricing next time. Assuming that it may be awhile before we need to buy more - just don't lose the contact information - & don't drop out of MARS!

Don't worry I'm not losing this contact info!!

haha yep Mike..
I fully plan to start selling this stuff now.
I just bought some equipment off ebay to do just that.
:)

So next time we want to do a GB I'll already have it here at the house.
No waiting :)

I contacted YR and they said they might be interested in purchasing some too..

If all goes well you should see small 1.5 lb packages showing up in LFS across the country soon.
muhahahahahah

Agreed! Thanks for putting the group buy together for us. I am wondering if MARS should put a "group buy vendors" on our website. That way if someone in the club wants to coordinate a GB - the person wouldn't have to do research again. :D Once again - thanks for putting this together.

Anyone want to pickup their stuff tonight?

I'm home for the entire night now..

Give me a call 530-320-4574

It's all located at Antelope and I80

I will be at YourReef tomorrow (Saturday) from 11:00AM - Noon

Anyone who wants to pick up their DI, come on by during that hour.

I will be driving my Black VW Bora

ALSO.......

Ok well I just could not resist.
Some of you know, I must have things be professional so I'm now removing all your DI from the ziploc baggies and resealing them (Better seal) in my own bagies.

I have perfected my equipment and techniques after doing this for many bags.
:)

I also made up labels for the bags.

I still have a lot more to bag on the 1.5 lb bags but here is the pics of my efforts
:)

Let me know what you guys think.
