Okay, it'll be here Thursday. Here is the email I got this evening:

Hi,

I just got back from the airport with the live rock. U.S.D.A. took 5 hours to clear it. I have been at the airport since noon. We are going to pack the rock tomorrow morning and ship tomorrow night for pick up Thursday. I will be able to tell you tomorrow night when I get back from dropping the rock at the airport what time you should expect it to get in Thursday. I will email you all the information tomorrow night.

Stephanie - thank you SO MUCH for taking care of this for all of us. I know that this has had to be so much work. I also know that it must be frustrating to get so many PMs and message from us impatient rock buyers. I know that you cannot control when this arrives and has done your best to get this to us ASAP.

Thank you for your hard work. Thank you for getting me a great price on 100 pounds of rock. I am so excited to be in on this group buy and so much hope the quality of the rock is as expected.

Whatever the case, for $2 per pound, this was even a great price if the stuff is nothing better then base rock. Let us all make sure to extend a big huge thanks to Stephanie for her work on this.

Tomorrow, once we know what time the rock arrives, Stephanie and I will go pick the rock up and then take it to my house.

if you do not know my address, PM me and I will send details.

Make sure we have your contact information.

Once at my house I will post in this thread that it is here and you can begin coming to collect it. If anyone wants more information on how to cure their rock, I can discuss it with you tomorrow.

And yes PaulT, Steph did a great job.

P.

Yes thank you very much Stephanie. You have helped many of us save hundreds of dollars. That is amazing...And Paul Whitby thank you, for you did not even buy any of this rock and you are definately in this. You are a great president and fishy guru. Thank you both again!

-Chris

Actually, I did get some. After Steph had placed the order and we knew that they couldnt ship immediately, I let temptation get the better of me......I can resist everything but temptation.

Seriously though, organizing a large group buy like this is fraught with problems and I think Stephanie is doing a great job. I have organized things like this in the past and the number of people who gripe at you for not getting stuff ASAP and fitting deliveries to their schedules is astounding...and that was nothing compared to the 1,200lbs of rock we have coming in.

P.

Just to reiterate, You can not place this into an existing tank. It absolutely has to be cured. You will need at least a large trashcan for 100lbs of rock. The water needs to be circulated by powerheads, ensuring water moves at the top and the bottom of the tub. You need to heat the rock (ie....dont let it get ice cold in a garage) and, if you have a spare skimmer, use that as well.

P.

hmmnnn. I think I might use my newly modded maxijet (assuming things come in this weekend) to circulate the water in my curing vat. Fun stuff!!! :)

Heads up boys and girls.....

We have an airbill number and that says that we have 1200lbs of rock arriving tommorow around 7.pm

That means that it will be at my house about 7.30.

I will call everyone and confirm this once I have the rock in my possession.

Please dont come to my house until I have called you, I wont be there.

Paul.

Also, bear in mind we do not yet know what the shipping cost actually is. We do know each 50lb box has a $5 box charge. Once we know what the final total is I will let yall know if we all need to pay extra to cover any excess shipping. If that is the case, I will take cash or checks made payable to COMAS tomorrow.

Paul.
