Group Buy On ORA Clownfish

Update:

The two healthy clowns are eating the pellets.

Did another water change for the 3rd clown and added more medicine, but didn't make it through the night. Too bad because it was the blackest of the 3.

That's so good to hear guys. I'm glad to hear your clowns are doing better.

I also ordered a pair of black percs with Ron last week.

Fortunately, both arrived healthy and was eating well the day after. So I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

Just an update. My clown lost his Ich in hypo 1.009, but now has something else, either Brooklynella or Velvet. His skin is slimey and velvety. He still doesn't eat much either.

He had his second Formalin dip tonight and will have 3 more, then I will treat for velvet with Cupramine if symptoms persist. He is in his own QT and gets 50% water changes nightly.

I'm going to force him to live.

I had my B&W Ocellaris in QT for the past 20 days. It had Ich or possibly something else, since it just died today. I am unsure if it had something more serious than Ich, or if I was too harsh in my treatment. How have others been faring?

i still have 2 left from the 3 i bought, i treated it with kick ich and it pulle thru...amazingly! however as for scott who bought a naked and a black or was it a misbared, well the later was killed by a goby, and the naked is fighing for survival still, it does not have ich or anything but just wont eat and is on its final leg...hth

man that is soo sad.. so how many died or should i say lived?

What did ORA say about this?

4 fish of 22 received died. When I spoke to ORA they assured me there is nothing in their system, but even though they are tank bred, they should be quarantined for a minimum of 1 or 2 days to recover from any stress received.

Hey guys,

Mine died yesterday. It did eat a couple of pellets soon after I put him in the tank but he just didnt keep it up. I threw everything at him. Pellets of all sorts, flakes, mysis and even live brine. He just stopped eating and slowly died.

My buddy's naked clown died too. That one never ate.
The misbar is still alive and doing well.

FWIW.

thats sounds wrong since almost everyone had to treat their fish for ich?

My fish had Ich, which he just recovered from, and now he has velvet which almost killed him again. I am treatnig him with copper for the velvet, but now have realized that he has internal parasites, (worms). He has white stringy feces, won't eat. He only eats live brine and then he barfs it up.

These are very sick fish.

If they did come from ORA as advertised, ORA has major issues with their tanks and the public should stay away from ORA.

my 2 cents

Following chronology, wouldn't this now be 6 of 22 dead?

Josh

Regardless of what they say, they definitely have something in their system. These were not healthy fish and I wouldn't buy from them until this gets fixed.

Checking back in from the east coast! The clowns that I received from ORA, 2 different orders BTW, that had similar symptoms are being treated successfully with Organi-Cure. It has copper and Formaldehyde in it, made by the same company that makes Quick Cure, a freshwater ich treatment.

What species of clownfish was it?

I know it was the misbar perculas the first time, I can't remember the second. They had the Medium Misbars on sale and when I received them I saw why.
